Did Microsoft kill the ability to delete items from your desktop using the keyboard? Because Del or Shift+Del are no longer working on my desktop icons.

Delete button on keyboard working, but not deleting Got a problem that I just cant figure out. I think I might have done something possibly the other day when cleaning the computer keyboard. I have an Aurora R7,, only had it about 6 weeks and its been great.
Remove the battery from the computer. Press and hold down the power button for 15 seconds. Then connect back all the peripherals and check. If the key is still not responding, then i would suggest you connect an external Keyboard and check if all keys are responding and working good on the external keyboard. Let us know your findings.
DELETE KEY NOT WORKING how do i fix this? I found the solution.... Please go to system settings > Keyboard > drag the slider left to right on Key repeat rate and delay unit repeat.

Specifically, the delete button isn't deleting, and the space bar is typing a 6. I rely on my keyboard to be working properly so I can go about my daily routine, so I definitely want to help get this solved!
When I hold down my delete key it does not work. It used to delete continuously now nothing happens, I have to repeatedly push the delete button to delete multiple characters.
